John and Breen, proprietors and Optometrists of Infocus Opticians, Kilkenny, Naas and Portlaoise

In 2002, John Fogarty and Breen McManus came together to form Infocus Opticians.  After both qualifying in Optometry with honours from Kevin St. DIT (1997/1998) and completing the Association of Optometrists fellowship exams both John and Breen gained valuable experience working in various optical practices around the country. They are both members of CORU, the state body responsible for regulating health and social care professionals along with the Association of Optometrists.

Infocus Opticians opened in Portlaoise in January 2003.  Since then the practice has grown from strength to strength to now having a large patient base.  Following on from the success of the Portlaoise practice a subsequent practise opened in Naas (2006) with the most recent outlet opening in Kilkenny following the takeover of Eustace/Eyecathers Opticians.

Rebecca Stapleton

In 2019 Infoucs Opticians welcomed optometrist Rebecca Stapleton to the team in Portlaoise. Rebecca graduated Dublin Institute of Technology in 2012 with a BSc(Hons) in Optometry. She is a member of the Association of Optometrists Ireland and is registered with CORU. She brings a wide variety of experience to the practice after working in a busy Dublin city centre practice and the laser eye department of the Blackrock Clinic before coming to work at Infocus Opticians. Rebecca is dedicated to giving the best quality eye exams to each patient.

From the initial eye-test to the collection of finished spectacles Infocus Opticians strive to deliver a personal and professional service to the patient. Quality aftercare is always assured. We participate in the ongoing Continuous Programme of Development as designed by the Association of optometrists Ireland and are constantly keeping abreast of new practices and technologies in the world of optometry.
